The Legacy Series: Casey’s Journey and The Rise of Ruth I began writing the Legacy Series out of frustration with the current global political environment and a desire to explore what our future might become if the fictional Crumpt dynasty remained in power.

Through Casey’s Journey and The Rise of Ruth, I imagine a dystopian world shaped by power, scientific advancement and the choices of those prepared to challenge the system. Although fictional, the series reflects concerns that feel very real today, and asks how far people will go to create a better future.

The Culinary Students’ Adventures was inspired by interviews with students who joined me during an intensive three-month cooking course in France. What I expected to be an enjoyable culinary experience proved far more demanding - and far more memorable - than I had imagined.

The book brings together our adventures, challenges and friendships, along with the students’ favourite dishes and recipes for essential sauces and soups. It is a celebration of food, learning and the remarkable people who shared the experience.
