Kid's Series
Willi's World
Willi is off on a big adventure around Australia with his grandparents… but nothing could prepare him for the wild, weird, and totally unexpected thing that happens next!

Willi Becomes a Skeleton
Willi was camping, snug as a bug,
While his grandparents snored on a rug.
But deep in the dark, where shadows creep,
A sad little Snake couldn’t get to sleep.
He’d been stuck in a cage, feeling sore,
While scientists poked him more and more.
Then came a monkey, with eyes full of gloom,
Placed in a cage in the same cold room.
'Hi!' said Snake, with a stretch and a twist.
'Leave me alone,' Monkey said with a hiss.
But Snake didn’t quit, he just gave a smile,
And Monkey gave in, after a while.
They hatched a plan, Monkey opened the lock,
Snake slithered out—quick as a shock!
'I’ll come back for you!' Snake gave his word,
And zipped through the grass without being heard.
He found a warm tent and curled up tight,
But something rolled over him late that night!
With a frightened bite, he snapped in defense,
And woke up a boy who looked quite tense!
'You bit me!' the boy cried out in fright.
'You rolled on me!' said Snake in the night.
But then Willi gasped—he could see through his skin!
His hands were now bones, from his toes to his chin!
He ran to Merv’s van, Snake close behind,
'A monkey’s in trouble! We don’t have much time!'
Merv grabbed his bag with flashlights and rope,
'Let’s save that monkey!' he shouted with hope.
They snuck through the factory, quiet and low,
Found Monkey in a cage with no place to go.
Willi used gadgets to open the gate,
And out came Monkey—they didn’t wait!
Back at the tent, all safe and warm,
They laughed and cuddled from the night's wild storm.
But Willi still wondered, as he tucked into bed,
Why was he now bones, from his toes to his head?

Willi, Grandma and Snake
Willi was dreaming of waves and the sea,
Surfing with Merv, feeling happy and free.
But then came a scream—so loud and so clear,
He woke with a jolt, full of shock and of fear!
He ran to the van with his heart beating quick,
And saw Grandma screaming—Snake wanted some milk!
But Willi forgot that he looked like a bone,
And Grandma yelled, 'Who’s that?! Leave me alone!'
“It’s just me!” said Willi, “Don’t worry, I’m fine!”
“I'm just a bit see-through, this skeleton's mine!”
Grandma blinked twice and said with a sigh,
“This must be a dream—I'm not sure why.”
They packed up the van and drove far and wide,
With Monkey and Snake along for the ride.
They played games and laughed down the desert road,
Through places with names Snake barely even knows!
But as they reached Alice Springs one night,
Grandma gasped and clutched her chair tight.
“I think this dream might not be fake…
I just had breakfast with a skeleton and snake!”

Barden, Snake, Ali and Willi go Walkabout
Ali lived in the desert, where red dirt flies,
He loved to play soccer under bright blue skies.
He wrote to a boy named Willi one day,
Who said, 'I'm coming! I'm on my way!'
Ali told Barden, his best bushmate,
'Let’s clean the hideout—it’ll be great!'
They walked through dust with kangaroos near,
And followed tracks with nothing to fear.
Then came a message from Willi's phone,
He wanted to meet them, but not in town alone.
Ali drew a map, scanned it with care,
And off they marched through the dry desert air.
They waited and waited with no Willi in sight,
Then crept through the bush in the fading light.
They saw something move, and their hearts gave a shake
It wasn’t Willi… it was a talking snake!
Snake said, 'I’m worried, Willi disappeared near here.'
So they followed his tracks with caution and cheer.
Then came a voice, both strange and known
A skeleton walked up… and called Ali's name in a friendly tone!
Willi, Friends and the Hideout
Barden and Ali stood still with a blink,
A skeleton? A friend? What should they think?
But then it spoke in a voice they knew,
“It’s me, it’s Willi!” and they knew it was true!
Snake said, 'It’s my fault, he helped me get free,
He was bitten, now skinless as far as I see.'
They sat by a tree with eyes open wide,
And listened to Willi’s strange tale by his side.
They hid in a cave, where no one would go,
With candles and carvings lit up by a glow.
Barden said softly, 'These symbols are deep,
They’re secrets we promise forever to keep.'
Suddenly, thump! A noise at the door,
In bounced a kangaroo, big as the floor!
'That’s Pie-Face!' said Ali. 'He’s come for his treat!'
They gave him some fruit and rubbed his red feet.
As nighttime crept in, they built up a flame,
And huddled together like kids in a game.
Willi lay still, his eyes open wide,
Bush sounds were wild, but he stayed by their side.

Willi, Great Uncle and the Outback
Off they all went with the morning breeze,
Through rust-red dust and whispering trees.
To find Great Uncle, they hoped and tried,
With stories and animals at their side.
Barden told tales with a magical flair,
Of wombats disguised and kangaroo care.
A pouch was the gift for a heart so kind,
A treasure of love that was one of a kind.
Then came the birds, bright from the skies,
A rainbow exploded with feathery surprise!
Each color became a chirping delight,
The kookaburra laughed with all his might.
Gurook spun into a bird so grand,
Dancing across the dusty red land.
The Brolgas still twirl, tall and proud,
While Emu now walks instead of the clouds.
They found food in the bush with great care,
Bush tomatoes and grubs hidden everywhere.
Willi took a bite and gave a shout,
'This banana’s weird!' he spat it out!
They reached the town and looked all around,
But Great Uncle was nowhere to be found.
So they wondered and waited in the midday heat,
Would they meet him? Or admit defeat?
